I am an Oregon native with a passion for working with young children! I believe childhood is a sacred time and that children are capable beings deserving of respect and empathy. I received my Bachelor's in Psychology from Seattle Pacific University and went on to get a Master of Science in Human and Family Development (specializing in Child Life) from Arizona State University. For the past four years, I have managed my own in-home daycare/preschool/school house in Portland. Prior to this I enjoyed working as a nanny and sitter. I am also the proud mother of a six year old girl who loves Paw Patrol, singing, and drawing. In my free time I love baking, reading mystery novels, going for long walks, and watching black and white films.
My beliefs as a parent and child caregiver align closely with that of attachment parenting. I practice positive discipline and support children in learning how to identify, label, and safely express their emotions.
I am CPR/First Aid certified and possess a Food Handler's card.
